Without water…our body will die in 3 days, but without the “water of life” our soul will die immediately!!!
Isa is on her way to Galilee. On the way to rest beside the pond A Samaritan woman came to draw water.
Isa: “Would you like some water for us to drink?”
Samaritan woman: “You are a Yahoo (Jew), and I am a Samaritan woman. How did you come to get water from me?”
Isa: “If you know what Allah has given you and know the one who asks you for water. thou shalt ask of him, and he shall give thee life-giving water.”
Samaritan woman: “Lord, you have nothing to draw water, and the well is deep. Where do you get life-giving water from? Are you greater than our ancestor's prophet, who gave us this well? And the Prophet himself and his children and herds drank from this well.”
Isa: “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again. but whoever drinks of the water that I have given him will never be thirsty again. Indeed, the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water surging into everlasting life.”
Samaritan woman: “Lord, give me that water so that I may not be thirsty and never come back here to fetch water.”
✨ The conversation next to the pond makes us realize the importance of water. If we didn't drink water, we wouldn't be able to survive. Likewise, our soul cannot exist without the water of life. And where will the water of life come from? If not Isa al-Maseh
